Keep the Flames of Love Burning Hot in Your Relationship

We love our partner and we are committed to our relationship with them. Deep down in our heart and soul we know we truly want to be in love with them forever. In spite of this yearning to be close to the one we love, there are some common mistakes we make - sometimes on a daily basis - that prevents our dream relationship from coming true. Below are three common intimacy mistakes you must stop now to keep the flames alive in your relationship.
1. Criticizing and Belittling. People do not realize how often they criticize their partner (and people in general) throughout the course of a day. We might criticize the clothes they wear, the type of movies they like to watch or the music they listen to. Or we may criticize their opinions on anything and everything. Whatever it is you are criticizing your partner about - you must stop this now if you want to keep the flames of love alive in your relationship.
Think about this for a moment. Would you want to spend an extended amount of time with someone who is constantly criticizing you? Of course not! When we constantly criticize our partner, we are, in fact, belittling them. Whether that is your intention or not, belittling your partner is the consequence of criticizing them. So if you are hoping to spend many passionate days and nights with your partner, stop the criticizing and begin accepting them for who they are!
2. Resentment. Resentment acts like carbon monoxide in your relationship - it is an invisible silent killer that destroys all those who come in contact with it. If you and your partner hurt each other, which is inevitable in any relationship, the ability to forgive one another is paramount if you want to go the distance. The inability to forgive our partner creates resentment in our relationship. Forgiveness is the antidote to resentment and will go a long way to secure romance and intimacy in your relationship.
Unchecked resentment builds up and acts like an emotional wedge that comes between our self and our partner. Be willing to give to your partner what you will ask for someday - forgiveness. Sooner or later you will seek it from your partner too! And remember, you cannot ask from your partner that which you are not willing to give to them!
3. Unappreciated. It would be impossible for me to count the number of times I have heard people complain they feel unappreciated by their partner. As we become more comfortable with our partner, we sometimes forget to acknowledge the things they do for us. Couples who are able to increase their sense of intimacy and commitment to each other know that it is important to show your appreciation to your partner for the love they give to you and the things they do for you.
Appreciation can be shown in small every day acts of kindness. For example, bringing your partner a cup of coffee in the morning, or their favorite newspaper to read in bed are two very simple, but effective ways to show your partner how much you appreciate them. Remember, actions speak louder than words - so don't forget to show your appreciation in your deeds as well as your words!
This article has provided you with three common mistakes you might be making that are preventing you from achieving the love and intimacy you crave in your relationship. Think about the ways you may, unwittingly, be criticizing your partner and stop it immediately! Building up resentment because you refuse to forgive your partner for past slights takes up more energy than it deserves - and zaps the romance out of your relationship. Neither you nor your partner is perfect so give it up already and let it go. Life is too short to hold onto past hurts. Finally, remember to show appreciation to your partner for the love and joy they bring to your life.
It you avoid these three common mistakes you are guaranteed to keep the flames of love burning brightly for years to come!

Sex Does Not Facilitate Love

How does sex work to drive love and how does it hurt the progression of love? When is love damaged by sex? What is real intimacy? It seems these days, people are more aware of physical desire than emotional attraction. This is how sex destroys a good thing and how to use intimacy as empowerment.
Sex does not facilitate love, which explains rising divorce rates from shorter courtships before marriage. Relationships are shorter and less lead to marriage in recent years because sex has taken over intellectual emotional bonding. Sex does not facilitate love, contrary to current popular belief.
Intimacy is sex of a couple in love, making love, but sex between anyone else has no value; it's worthless. Sex does not facilitate love. Sex works as a quick high for relationships but drags along the dangerous side effects and increased need to have sex, as the emotional development takes secondary importance. Sex fogs mental clarity but when relationships aren't based on sex, then feelings and mental compatibility stand center stage. When intimacy never overshadows heartfelt feelings, lasting love has a far higher chance of survival.
In love, sex is called intimacy and romance, that works with the couple to connect even more emotionally in new ways and that's why it was initially hailed as a marital reward. Sex was meant for marriage because the emotions before the wedding were highly evolved and mature enough to handle ever after but in today's society those emotions never matured nearly as long as they should have and instead lust, or pseudo-love, became prominent and evidently confusing the general population. Sex does not facilitate love like current generations think.

When the Love is Real

How do you know he means it when he says, "I love you"? When is he telling you how is heart really feels? Is it real love? This man is demonstrating his emotions right before you.
Men leave at least these five indications when the love is real or not. Pay attention to the following most common clues about men and how to read his true emotions bottled inside. The five signs when the love is real should really help you know what's sincere or not.
First off, if he says he loves you and it seems heartfelt then it probably is. A man may say it if the woman says so first and he doesn't want to sit silently but you'll know when it's real when it comes out of the blue and sounds as though the words came right from his heart. When the love is real, you feel it.
Actions speak true. Affection, emotional attention, cares to plan a nice evening or calls just to say hello, are sound indications what he feels is honest love. If the words have yet to come, be patient because they will.
His support for you is a huge indication of love. A sincere devoted support for your dreams and life with absolute sincerity is one of the most revealing signs of love out there. The more he stands by and supports you, the more he truly cares.
How does he care for you when you need him most? An attentive man to a sick girlfriend or his lady home from a stressful day says something. A man in love comes to his woman when her day was rough, when she's ill, if tragedy strikes in her life, and anytime she most needs someone right there, he is the first one to do his best to make her smile again. That is real love.
His faithful loyalty and commitment should be a major hint that he has no intentions of being with anyone but you. If he's surely not showing any interest in any woman by watching them, mentally thinking about them, and seems completely devoted to only your heart, then it's pretty obvious his feelings and admissions of love are honest. When the love is real, it's evident.

What Do You Mean When You Say You Love Someone?

Defining Love
It is easier to feel love than to define it.
Love is a warm, fuzzy feeling that makes you feel incredibly good!
You can't see it but you can feel it. Just like the wind: you can't see it, but you can feel the breeze touch your cheek. So, even if you can't see love,
you can give and receive it.
Love is totally accepting yourself as you are, even if you have mistakes and make mistakes.
Love is good and gives your life meaning.
Love is like health and wealth. The more you have, the more you want.
Love is like a game, except that it's not about winning or losing - it's more important howyou play.
When you chose love, you will know happiness and joy, comfort and support.
What Represents Love To You?
List as many as possible aspects, which represent love to you, for example:
A hug A smile A flower Freshly baked bread
Make a list.
Find a picture that represents for you, the most exquisite, fathomless, passionate, and beautiful expression of LOVE imaginable... and use it as a screensaver.
The Benefits of Love
Apart from the obvious pleasurable, elated, great feeling love brings to all of us, this wonderful energy has specific other benefits:
Love Increases our IQ
Throughout the ages the heart has been considered the seat of love, compassion and emotions. From that phrases like: "My heart is bursting with joy" and "My heart is broken" originated.
Positive feelings of love create a harmonious positive state known as 'coherence'. This is when your nervous system and all systems of our body are working with greater harmony, efficiency, and synchronisation.
Dr. Paul Pearsall reported, after his study about consciousness and human functioning, when we focus on and sustain feelings of love, this can increase aspects of general intelligence and strengthen our immune systems.
Love Increases our Immune system
B. Marciniak in her book FAMILY OF LIGHT concurs: "..loving yourself enhances your immune system,.....and allows you to become immune to toxicities, because the frequency of love is the most powerful force of existence."
